The Parque das Ribeiras do Uíma extends over an area of approximately six hectares, combining several systems of wetlands, terrestrial areas and human occupation to form an extensive floodplain. Situated in a valley between the villages of Fiães and Lobão, it is characterised by extensive marshy alder and willow forests. The Uíma River Walkways are integrated into the Parque das Ribeiras do Rio Uíma, in the parishes of Fiães and Lobão.
