A small church, just the right number of benches and a beautiful view.

It's not known exactly when this quaint little chapel dates to, but some believe it to be from the 11th century. It's a conspicuous landmark on the hike up to Šmarjetna gora from Stražišče. In years gone by, people used to make high-quality sieves here.

You can reach the top on foot, run in or ride a bike, but it is a beautiful vantage point for central Slovenia

Osolnik, as well as Osovnik, as the locals call it, is the summit in the southern part of Sorško polje, at the top of which stands the church of Sv. Mohor and Fortunat, in the shade of mighty old trees. We have a wonderful view of the nearby Polhov Gradec hills, Julian Alps and Kamnik Sav. Alps. Top accessible from several places and in different directions, in all seasons, with appropriate equipment. Wonderful.
