Sveti Lovrenc or Polhograjska gora is located next to Polhov Gradec and the famous Polhov Gradec manor with a landscaped park. On the slopes of the mountain, in the first half of the 19th century, the then owner of the estate, Count Blagaj, found a hitherto unknown plant, which they named Blagaj's wolf. At the top of the hill, where the church of St. Lawrence is located, we have a view of the manor house with the park, Polhov gradec and the peaks of the Polhov Gradec and Škofja Loka hills. Towards the north, the highest Julian and Karavanke peaks can also be seen. To the south you can see the Crimean hills.

The journey through the fairy-tale land of adventure has its beginning in the Polhov Gradec manor, and the children have a very important task on the way: they will help the dormouse find a new home. At the beginning of the route, visitors receive a Polh booklet as a didactic-pedagogical aid and a pencil. Along the way, 10 large wooden sculptures of forest animals await them on the way, as well as wooden houses, a children's apiary, an animal post office, a lair, didactic elements and more and more ... The dormouse is making noise in the castle attic, from where the count's family chases it away, so it bounces into the forest with a bitch on its shoulder, where it looks for a roof over its head. On this journey, children and dormice visit and get to know the animals, plants and other features of this place. First, they stop at a colorful house, as the dormouse calls it, the Honey House or the Beekeeper's Home, where they learn about the interesting things of beekeeping and life with bees with the help of a play-didactic apiary. The path then leads along Blagaj's path to Blagaj's monument and the royal flower through a large fairy-tale portal. And then there is no end to the surprises… Animal Post, which reminds visitors that the Polhov Gradec Manor also houses the Museum of Post and Telecommunications, is the right place to inform animals about the dormouse's search for a new home. Along the way, the children then encounter sculptures of forest animals that they feel, climb on them and simply admire. In the lair, they meet lairmen and test themselves at the Animal Olympics: how far do you think, for example, a dormouse jumps from tree to tree in length? An amazing seven meters. Children also get to know forest birds and learn to observe birds in a real bird observatory.
