Habitat for the "Highland Cattle" in the middle of the beautiful Eifel. The animals are extremely robust, good-natured. durable and uncomplicated to keep. These characteristics make it possible to keep the Highlands outdoors all year round and they also defy wet and harsh winters thanks to the long coat, which not only protects and insulates them from snow, but also from heat and parasites. The long horns are also a distinctive feature of the Highlands. Here directly to the Highland farm "Naurath". . . https://www.highlandhof-naurath.de

Föhren Castle dates back to the 14th century and was last rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1663. The castle complex includes the tithe barn that has been converted and restored into an event space, the actual main building, in whose large hall the registry office is located, and the outbuilding that has been converted into a holiday apartment. Meulenwald venison is sold in the farm shop. More here: https://www.schloss-foehren.de

In the Hofstrasse on the way to the castle is the wine press station. This is where the manure pit of the Kesselstatt farm used to be. Since the construction of a covered pressing station in 1994, it has been possible to press your own apples into Viez. In addition to the possibility of pressing, a number of selected cultural and social events take place throughout the year. Source: Municipality of Föhren
