Dash Point State Park is a great spot to add some variety to your ride. While the park’s 11 miles of trails are mostly for hiking, you can roll through the campground roads and explore the day-use areas. With over 3,000 feet of saltwater shoreline, it’s also a popular place to take a break by the water. If you’re planning a longer trip, there are cabins and campsites available too.

Near this spot on the Sumner Link Trail, just south of Tacoma Ave, there are a few picnic tables just off the trail and you're quite close to the White River. This is a nice spot to stop as you ride around the area.

This is a fantastic viewpoint along the river, and the paved section of trail here is easily done on a road bike.

The Foothills Trail parallels the Carbon River for many miles, but your view is often obscured by foliage. Here you get a clear view of the river from the trail, as well as the verdant flora overhanging its banks.

A nice paved trail runs along this beach area, accompanied by a small park right next to the beach. The park features a beach pavilion, a whale sculpture play area, and plenty of benches, making it a great spot to take a break.
