Amazing mountain lake, with a very clear blue color and nice tiny houses around it.

Depending on your driving style, sharp gravel takes its toll, so take spare tubes with you.

The lake is a reservoir that blends beautifully into the mountains. It is probably primarily used for flood protection.

Beautifully situated mountain lake with small huts 🛖. Highly recommended is the Berghaus Erika, rustically furnished rooms and the toilet area as a shared toilet (2 showers and 2 toilets) was clean and brand new than in some hotels. We also had the 3-course menu for the evening, which was a dream.

There is a nice shady playground, several places to rest and grill and even something like a "natural paddling pool" and a toilet.

A church building under the patronage of St. John was first documented in 1101. The oldest structure, which indicates two previous buildings from the 5th and 6th centuries, can be found today in the garden of the neighboring vicarage. In the early years of the Reformation 1519-22, but before it was accepted in Prättigau, a new building was built. After the devastation caused by the Graubünden turmoil, this building was restored in 1641 and again in 1768 after massive fire damage. The church tower dates back to the time when the church was founded and was raised in 1768 and given a helmet roof in 1926. An 18th-century bell is kept on the southern outer wall of the church to commemorate the village fire. Source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reformierte_Kirche_St._Johann_(Schiers) p.s.
