Dead Ringer is great in both directions. As a downhill the trail has unbelievable flow. When you ride downhill pay attention to uphill riders, they have the right of way.

This trailhead offers ample parking and restrooms. Attention: If it gets wet the Gooseberry Mesa Access Road gets sticky and muddy and is almost impassable. So if it starts raining, you better get off the Mesa as quickly as possible.
