A nice place to stop when heading out south east from the city. You can even ride all the way along the pier if you dare!

What should I wear for hiking in Kemah's climate?

Given Kemah's humid subtropical climate, lightweight and moisture-wicking clothing is recommended year-round. In the summer, sun protection is crucial, so bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. For a more natural setting, trails at Galveston Island State Park, a short drive away, offer paths along both the beach and bay sides of the island.

Where can I find a quieter, less-crowded hiking experience?

For a more tranquil walk, consider visiting Hester Garden Park in Seabrook. It's a beautiful spot known for its trees and flowers, offering a peaceful escape. While it's a smaller park, it's perfect for a quiet stroll in nature away from the more popular, larger preserves.
