A good opportunity for a little refreshment on the way to Mont Sujet. It's also worth it just for a drink; the view of the three lakes (Lake Murten, Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Biel) and the chain of Alps is almost unique.

As the name suggests, Place Central is the starting point for several routes. Eastward over the Kretentrail via the Jura house (Bergerie du Jura) to Frinvillier or westward over the Kretentrail to Chasseral. South towards the Métairie de Prêles, later to Les Prés d’Orvin. And finally northwest to Rägiswald (Métairie du Bois-Raiguel), Petit Chasseral, Chasseral. The trail southwest leads directly to Les Prés d’Orvin.

A normal gravel road.. Not a highlight for me and serves more as a climb.. There are enough trails to the left and right for descents, otherwise at most a cycling highlight.

Rather easy, casual trail that can be ridden in both directions. Currently closed until November 29, 2024 due to woodwork —> see Schweiz Mobil

You have to be up there and it tempts you to come back again and again. Great starting point for many trails, including the climb up to the Chasseral.
