The imposing castle in Obbach, once built by the barons of Bobenhausen, is a real eye-catcher in this part of the municipality. In the middle of the village, next to the evangelical parish church, it towers over the roofs. One of the special half-timbered houses is the historic Aschenbau from 1698, in whose outbuilding potash was once produced. Today the castle is privately owned and cannot be visited. An agricultural estate belongs to Obbach Castle. The manager couple, Bernhard Schreyer and Petra Sandjohann, came to the farm in 1998 and converted it to organic farming according to the guidelines of the Naturland association. 275 hectares are cultivated. The Gutshof was funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture selected as demonstration farm organic farming. The farm's own organic food is available in the farm shop.
