The drive to St. Niklaus was the start of a small scavenger hunt, as the cable car couldn't be found immediately. After we finally tracked it down, the real adventure began: with vegetables, eggs, and milk in our luggage, we floated up to Jungen like on a flying farmers' market. By then it was clear: the vacation starts with the journey itself!

A beautiful spot: children can paddle in the small lake, and there are tables and a grill for picnics. And the restaurant just a stone's throw away is very friendly.

Beautiful little village on the first ascent of the Matterhorn tour starting from Saint Niklaus. Possibility to go there on foot but also by cable car. There is a restaurant, somewhere to sleep and a spot to sit down to eat with barbecue.
