The start of the via ferrata can be reached from Holzgau in about half an hour. It is divided into three routes of varying difficulty levels, which can be easily combined with one another: the chamois (B/C), the ibex (C+) and the eagle route (D/E). We had a comfortable stay in the small Larcher Alm. There are about 20 beds and a shower. Nice hosts!

The Larcher Alm is a highly recommended stop. In addition to delicious hearty dishes, there is also apple strudel and the homemade cake of the day. Very, very tasty. Even if it is not on the menu, there is good coffee on request. The prices are very fair and the couple who run the hut are the warmest and nicest on the entire crossing of the Alps. Great!
