The Bert Cooper Trails, formerly Lake Hefner Trail, is a fantastic paved route surrounding the lake's perimeter. There are plenty of access points along the path, including parking areas, restrooms, and water, if you need to take a break. Along the way, you will see lots of sailboats in the water, adding to the already stunning lake views, especially if you are lucky to be here to see the sunset.

Lake Hefner is beautiful and one of the area's most popular sailing destinations. As a reservoir source of drinking water for the city, swimming is not allowed here. However, there are plenty of beautiful sailboats to admire, combined with two parks, picnic areas, several East Wharf restaurants and a beautiful lighthouse, making it a spectacular location for a bike ride.

This intersection is the beginning of this small yet popular Paved Loop Trail, especially with runners. The smooth, flat grade makes it the perfect spot to run a few loops if you want to do some speedwork.
