Traveling from Stagecoach Road in Durham County to the very northern end of Jordan Lake, the Eagle Spur Trail is a popular spot for trail and road runners alike. The trail is a wide, packed-dirt path that's mostly flat as it winds its way through different wetland and forest environments.

The Mason Farm Biological Reserve features 367 acres of fields, forests, and wetland trails that belong to the University of North Carolina. This reserve connects over to Parker Preserve, which features some trails of its own.
