Salem Lake Trail goes all around Salem Lake. The trail is a very popular outing for anyone that exercises in the area. It is open to equestrians, runners, walkers and bikers. If you are a biker then the trail is more suited for a gravel bike than an all out road bike. It is mainly a dirt trail for most of its seven mile length.

Absolutely beautiful trail and this is exactly how I define a "gravel" trail. Not to rough and very few tree roots.

Horizons Park has a dog park, frisbee golf course, a baseball diamond, an exposed picnic area, a large sheltered picnic area, hiking trails and most importantly a great mountain biking area. The trails were built specifically for mountain biking and create a nice loop.

This man made crossing cuts across the creek and has a nice wooden bridge on it. The views of the lake are great and looking up the creek you can see an old train bridge that I believe is still in use.

This is a mountain bike specific trail. It was built by Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Bicycle Advisory Committee and volunteers. That means it is fun with technical sections, jumps and drops. Recently some of the small access trails have been removed to create one continuous loop, making the trail much more fun.
