The Hudson River Skywalk is a paved walkway and bike path that crosses over the Hudson River, connecting the city of Hudson to the town of Catskill. The path travels alongside Rip Van Winkle Bridge, which also crosses over Rogers Island Wildlife Management Area and the banks of Hamburg. Though it isn't the quietest walkway ever, this is a super cool path across the bridge that offers great views down the river.

August 22, 2023, Base of High Falls

If you decide to hike down the gully on the Blue Trail, you will eventually make it to the Claverack Creek. If you follow the creek a couple hundred feet up stream, you will be at the base of High Falls. This is a cool place to view the cascades, but don't get too close to the actual falls since there is a strong undertow where the water comes down.

The Albany Hudson Electric Trail is open to non-motorized bikes and foot-traffic and is one of the most popular paths for exercising in the area. Parts of the path are paved, parts are crushed gravel, and parts are smooth dirt. This is a fairly flat trail that actually slowly goes downhill as you walk with the river and then goes gradually uphill as you walk against the flow of the water.
