Here, you’ll pass by Willow Pond and the Village of Hewlett Bay Park. The pond is very charming, with some swans living in it. Enjoy the water views.

I highly recommend the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway bike path. This is a beautiful wide bike path that has a pretty long gradual downhill if you go in the correct direction. The pictures do not show how enjoyable of a ride it is.

For New York city it is a nice beach. Emphasis on New York considering how bad other beaches are. Don’t go into the forest area at the end of peninsula. You’ll be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Over all one of the best rides New York offers especially if you are staying or living in Brooklyn. I recommend to start as early as possible.

Fort Totten Lake offers a big grassy area with expansive views of the lake. The lake is located in the park of the same name, with a preserved Civil War fortress. The lake area is a peaceful place to set a picnic and enjoy the breeze coming from the ocean.

Willow Pond and Macy Channel are separated by Everit Avenue and are surrounded by green lawns and a variety of different types of trees. Both bodies of water are surrounded by large homes, and Macy Channel is lined with docks.

Willow Pond is a peaceful and beautiful location situated between Hewlett Bay Park and Hewlett Harbor. The area is home to various species of birds, including great blue herons and egrets. If you need a break, there is a nice bench here where you can relax and recharge.

A lovely stretch to cycle on and take in the ocean views. It can get a little busy during the middle of the day. If this is the case, you can take the adjacent Shore Front Parkway Road.
