Zachary
June 25, 2025, Califon Train Station

The old train station was built in the late 1800s for the Central Railroad of New Jersey. Today, it serves as a hub for the Califon Historical Society and access point for the Columbia Rail Trail. Supposedly, the name Califon comes from a shortening of "California", since the painter creating the station map didn't leave enough room for the original title.

A great view, but no cyclistsοΏΌ are allowed to use their bikes on the bridge. This is strictly enforced however there is a sidewalk you can walk your bike on.

Are you looking to add some scenery to your route? Look no further! This segment will take you through a few bridges. One of which you can see an old wood mill along the river. It's also nicely shaded and mostly flat, which is nice
