Salmon Falls River dam can be seen from Highway 4, to the south, and another great view is from the nearby Counting House Park. Enjoy the sound of the water falling from the dam and cascading back into the Salmon River.

The Cocheco River flows through Rochester, Connecticut. In this particular spot on a bridge on Pickering Road you get great views of both the river and the old historic Gonic Mill that used to operate in the 19th century but has since been converted into a multi-use building. Back Hill Beer Company and Brickstones (a breakfast spot) are two businesses in the mill that are both great places to stop for a mid-, or post, ride beer or bite to eat!
