Once a small community ski area with one slope and a single rope tow, the trails around this hill are now popular for mountain biking and running. Of course you can walk here too, but keep an eye out for faster trail users — and they should do the same for you. Meanwhile, Beech Hill itself offers some surprisingly great views.

On official maps, this piece of trail is labeled as part of the Fire Tower Loop; mountain bikers may know it as the Tower Trail. Either way, it runs between a parking area and the old fire lookout tower atop the summit of Blue Job Mountain. For bikers, this is a rollicking downhill from the tower to the parking area — but keep a sharp eye out for walkers and runners who also share the trail.
