This is where the Tornby stream flows into the sea. In summer, it's barely visible in the dunes, so overgrown is it. But you can spot it by the reeds.

An almost unreal landscape. Unspeakably beautiful.

There is even one on the Pikkerbakken near Frederikshavn that was signed by three royal Frederiks over the course of 100 years.

Good possibility to cross the Liver Å with dry feet/bike, regardless of whether the path leads along the beach or inland. Behind the bridge, one should at least continue north along the beach by bike, as during my visits there the route marked in Komoot to the northwest behind the dunes was not even clearly recognizable as an entrance.

If you go this route you should definitely wear long pants. We were out on a warm day and therefore wore shorts. It wasn't a pretty road. Through thorn bushes, nettles, etc... At one point you crawl under an electric fence and you shouldn't forget that from this moment on you are moving on a pasture. In the end there was no way through because the pasture was flooded due to heavy rain the previous days and there was a large herd of male cattle in the vacant areas. There was no getting through. So we had to go all the way back and use the beach path. Otherwise, certainly enjoyed great views!
