The sun will be your greatest ally during this passage. At first light, you will find magnificent plays of light between the trees. The same at dusk. In the fall, as the sun quickly sets, the trees become incandescent. Remember to turn around from time to time to discover the many views that the forest offers.

Welcome to the Grandes Baraques. This forest hamlet located in the heart of Chailluz is a must-see. As much from a practical point of view, as playful. Practical, because you will find there a drinking fountain, toilets and a pleasant picnic area. Fun, because a small animal park (free access) allows you to discover the fauna (fallow deer, deer, wild boar and roe deer) of the forest of Chailluz.

A beautiful view from Fort de la Dame Blanche (also known as Fort de Chailluz). Be careful of the cliff, the fort is also a reserved military zone. ============= A nice view from fort of the Dame Blanche (also known as the fort of Chailluz).
