Cycling is not allowed in The Pleasaunce (other than the odd Chavy kid) but it’s a great place to swing by if you get caught in a heavy shower (like I did) on route to Sheperdleas Woods, there are lots of sheltered places in this very scenic park. It also has a gastro pub at its heart called The Tudor Barn which is useful if you require a health giving pint of Guinness (which I did). The children’s author E. Nesbit lived in a Manor House in the grounds - since removed other than a moated area by the period pub; there are wooden carvings of some of the characters in her books.

Eltham Bus Station, opened in 1985, is integrated with the Eltham railway station and located above the A2 road. Undervalued piece of mid 80s architecture history.

At the south eastern side of Blackheath, between Prince of Wales Road and South Row, this is Prince of Wales Pond -- once famous for its toy boats -- and the view looking north east towards the grand houses on Shooters Hill Road. Lots of water birds all year round.

Footpath cycleway that runs between The Rochester away and Kidbrooke. Some kids dug a couple of dirt jumps along one edge / fun as you’re riding through. Joins up with another footpath cycleway on the other side of the Rochester Way. Useful for avoiding traffic.
