On February 17, 1922, the carter Gottlob Ruckaberle died near Möhringen. He was attacked, robbed, and beaten to death with a stone. A memorial stone commemorates the carter, who had brought stones from the Schönbuch to Stuttgart for the construction of the main train station. The murder was never solved.
