The main post office building Odenkirchener Straße 28 is located in the Rheydt district of Mönchengladbach (North Rhine-Westphalia). The building was built in 1898. It was entered under No. O 008 on April 18, 1989, in the list of monuments of the city of Mönchengladbach. This building body, nine window axes wide and occupying the southern part of the block, is built on a plot of land that was factory premises belonging to Klingelhöffer until 1893. The left, two-story, six-axis, eaves-side building part forms a counterweight through its uniform window sequence to the transversely standing, three-story, gable-side building part, between which the high-rising tower, standing to the side of the central axis, functions as a connecting link.

The renaturalized part of the Niers has become an absolute gem, especially with the currently prevailing autumn colors it is beautiful here and thank God it is (still?) not so crowded.
