A church in Winwick has been listed since 1086. The base of the north arcade dates from the early 13th century, the west tower from 1358, other parts from 1580. In 1648 it was damaged by Oliver Cromwell's troops. Several renovations and additions followed in the following years and centuries. The church is listed on the National Heritage List for England.
