Foresthill Road is a scenic highway going through the Auburn State Recreation Area. It's not great for running on, as it has no good shoulders and can be very trafficked, but it is a good turn-around spot.

Lake Clementine is a popular spot for water skiers, wakeboarders, & paddlers. Hikers can get down to the water as well and from this vantage point you can see Robber's Roost high above where the infamous Black Bart outlaw and his gang reportedly staged before their many heists of gold laden wagons.
