Silver Lake is a beautiful blue lake in the Bucks Lake Wilderness. Unfortunately all the green trees were destroyed in a wild fire around the lake. A side trail will get you down to the lake, but it is a long one.

Bucks Summit Trailhead is a popular spot for hiking in the area. There is a large parking lot and a questionable pit toilet. If you are lucky, you can get a ride into Bucks Lake and there might be trail magic during PCT hiker season. If you hike northbound you will enter an exposed area. So try to avoid the heat.
