China Point Park was the spot of the original Chinatown in Napa. It is now a beautiful small park, with an overlook onto the Napa River. A moon gate was constructed as the entrance to the park to commemorate the community of Chinese immigrants that lived here in the 1850s.

The Linear bike Trail along I-80 is closed and partially a homeless encampment. The rerouting along Suisun Parkway is a wider and smooth dedicated bike trail even with a few shade structures to take a rest in summer. It is somewhat quieter than along the freeway, and as it is more visible out in the open it is probably safer not only for female bikers or joggers along this stretch.

Napa River Flood Project to completes the six-mile Napa River Trail from Kennedy Park on the south to Trancas St on the north. This trail connects with the Commuter Bike Path, a 2.5 mile route running parallel to the Napa Valley Wine Train tracks, providing an off-street bike and pedestrian connection to the west side of Highway 29. The River Walk behind the Napa Mill and the Riverfront properties connects to 3.5 miles trail going South one way, on the opposite side of the Napa River. Cross 3rd St bridge and head south on Soscol to the northern trail entrance. The path will be paved eventually parallel to the railroad tracks. The unofficial (as of yet) gravel part continues a short distance past a large dirt pad and follow a small walking trail down a bank, and back up a bank to the current end. http://napavalleyregister.com/lifestyles/columnists/discovering-napa/napa-river-trail/article_dc5d83ce-6621-11e0-b4c5-001cc4c03286.html http://www.napaflooddistrict.org
