You can walk around Lake Zülpicher in about half an hour on two parallel paths: one is paved and barrier-free, the other hugs the lake shore. In winter you can watch water birds on the crystal-clear lake, in summer the lake belongs to sailors and bathers on the paid sandy beach.

The Weiertor was a double gate that was intended to make it much more difficult for the enemy to penetrate through the main gate. The gate was 80% destroyed in a bomb attack in 1944. It was not until 1974 that one of the outer towers was completely rebuilt. Source: https://www.eifel.de/go/gehenswerts-detail/weiertor_zuelpich.html
