A bit inconspicuous and not easy to see from the road. But a small detour is worth it.

Beautiful moor and heath landscape with beautiful trails and narrow forest paths. Whether by bike or on foot: it's worth a visit. :)

People are nailing signs to trees, they don't want cyclists there. The deer can't stand that or something 🤷🏻

Lovingly designed rest stop for cyclists and hikers. Everything is self-service in the converted stable, a comfortable bench with chilled drinks and a beautiful view of a stork's nest

This recreation area leaves nothing to be desired and stands out from the rest. Everything is thoughtfully designed and furnished. Whether for young or old, for flowers or animals – there's something for everyone. There's even a mailbox for sending mail to the storks (until the end of August). Here you'll find everything and more you need for a bike ride, even a bike station. From repair kits to air pumps. 🔝 It also seems to me that the neighboring farm thinks and operates in a very ecological and environmentally conscious way (suckler cow farming, free-range chickens, sheep farming, stork's nest). The stork's nest was built by the farmer in March 2019 to reintroduce the white stork here near the Issel River, and he has succeeded.

Unfortunately you can't see much of the lake because it is fenced off

Varied paths, be careful! Shoes can get muddy ;-)

The Diersfordter Forest has a lot to offer in terms of landscape, you can marvel at the different plants and trees, it is particularly beautiful there, especially during the flowering period. And another good thing you can do in the Diersfordter Forest is mountain biking, where you can go up and down. And if that's not enough, you can then go to the Bundeswehr training area, where the thrill is even greater. Especially where the Bundeswehr vehicles have left their mark, but now after all the rain you should be careful there. Because you can't estimate how deep the vehicle tracks are.
