The Estrella Mountains can be seen from much of the surrounding area, here could be a good chance, getting farther away from the urban area, to stop, snap a photo and take it all in. To gaze at the desert landscape and her colors.

Foothills Community Park Pump Track is part of a large recreation area with baseball courts, shaded areas, restrooms, and water fill ups. Take a break here and watch mountain bikers have a go at the Pump Track, or (with the right bike) try your hand at a lap

The North Lake (and its sister body of water, the South Lake, just to the west), are part of the Estrella Mountain Lake Parks. The man-made bodies of water have a paved walking and biking trail on the perimeters and are a great place to ride in the cooler hours of the day!

Stop into the Saddle Mountain Brewing Company for a refuel with food or a drink. This eatery was voted the best brewery in the West Valley. Check out the calendar here and plan to drop in for some live music if you prefer: https://www.facebook.com/SaddleMountainBrewingCompany/events/

Great local coffee shop with good coffee and food. If you need a place to stop on a ride Ebb & Flow will do you well.

There is nothing out here, and that's what makes it great. This is a case of anti "Field Of Dreams", they built it, but nobody came. You have 30 miles of 4 lane highway that was supposed to be a major thoroughfare as the Phoenix Metro area expanded, but that's just not how things worked out. Instead there's a massive road with wide shoulders that gives riders more than enough room to feel comfortable. However, this also means you won't be finding much help if things go wrong so be sure to bring more than enough water and supplies for the ride.

There are over 300 steps climbing up almost 200 feet in elevation. This is a tough hike up, but if you can keep your rhythm, you can see how many steps you can run before having to stop. The trails down the back side are much more runnable. The loop is only about a mile total, but the stairs alone are a workout.
