This is an Alma city park with a stunning overlook of the Mississippi River, hiking, and a picnic area. I have no idea where the name of Aligator Slide came from but this is one of the most scenic downhill runs (and there are many) in Trempealeau County that I know. I recommend that you take it downhill so that you can enjoy the views all the way from the top of Montana Ridge to the Trempealeau River Valley below.
