There’s no shoulder for parts of this route but the traffic is sparse and will move over for you. Big tractor trailers don’t slow down much so you need to be alert.

The Logan River Trail is an entirely paved path that passes through a golf course and follows along the river the entire time. The path is super popular and passes by a number of parks and parking areas, so you can complete different parts of the trail by parking at different trailheads and intersections.

The Powder Mountain climb is a tough challenge, with a gradual start followed by a brutal ascent. After the first 1 ½ miles, the grade increases significantly, reaching over 11% for the majority of the remaining five miles. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and rugged terrain, the climb offers a dramatic backdrop, with sweeping vistas of alpine forests and distant peaks. The relentless steepness, especially in the final stretch where gradients hover around 13%, makes it a true test for any cyclist.

You can bike around the reservoir while enjoying the landscape since there is a very compacted trail for most of the route. As for the reservoir, apart from swimming in its small beach you can also enjoy other activities or eat something in the picnic areas.
