The Restaurant Raten is highly recommended: The atmosphere is lovely and cozy, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. It has a large parking lot, which is also a good starting point for hikes. Parking is subject to a fee daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Great views, first of Lake Zug, then of Menzingen and the hinterland, and further of Lake Ägeri, and over to Rigi. Finally, a beautiful view from the Raten Pass, and on the descent via the saddle, the Kleine and Grosse Mythen, with Schwyz and the mountains in the background for dessert.
