It is an artificial lake created in the 1930s by a dam on the Ansiei River. It is surrounded by impressive landscapes of the Belluno Dolomites.

Beautiful, small campsite with large trees, located directly on the river and the cycle path. Great view of the typical Dolomite peaks around, even the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (south side) are clearly visible. The sanitary facilities are simple but very clean and with separate, large rooms for disabled people and for families. You can order rolls for the next morning and get supplies at the nearby grocery store in the village. The store is within walking distance. Directly from the campsite, you can set off on beautiful hikes and bike tours. Dogs are welcome 😊

Suitable for swimming, but very cold. On the other hand, you won't encounter many other swimmers here.

Lorenzago di Cadore is a charming mountain village in the province of Belluno, nestled in the Eastern Dolomites and surrounded by dense fir forests. Located at about 880 meters above sea level on a sunny plateau overlooking the Tagliamento valley, the village boasts an ancient history and a strong connection to the traditions of Cadore. It is internationally famous for being the favorite summer holiday destination of Pope John Paul II and later Pope Benedict XVI, who were won over by the tranquility of its landscapes and the beauty of its natural trails. Lorenzago offers a breathtaking view of the Cridola group and the Mauria pass, representing an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation, walks immersed in greenery, and authentic contact with the most genuine alpine atmosphere.
