The Berzdorfer Lake is very easy to get around by bike. There is also a lot to do at the Blue Lagoon and the water castle in Tauchritz. Highly recommended!!!

Lake Berzdorf is located on the southern border of Görlitz in Upper Lusatia. It was created from a former open-cast lignite mine that was flooded between 2002 and 2013. With an area of 960 hectares, a maximum depth of 72 meters and a volume of around 330 million cubic meters, it is one of the largest lakes in Saxony. You will find some wonderful bathing spots on the lake. So don't forget your bathing suit.
