"Winter is the time of fairy tales and legends. There are very few legends that relate to the Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld municipality. The most well-known and beautiful legend revolves around an oak tree that grows in the Obersteinebach/Peterslahr/Burglahr state forest. The tour is worthwhile from both below and above. The crater floor was muddy.

Unfortunately, the Manrother Lake is fenced off and the path leads along above the lake. Since a lot of it is overgrown, it is not quite as beautiful as I had imagined. It would be nice if there was a place to rest right by the lake.

It was a great sight to see and our daughter also found it very exciting, even though we weren't allowed to go all the way in.

A really great place to linger and recharge your batteries. Today we were very lucky that there were two beautiful painted stones there, and our little one was allowed to take one of them and lay it somewhere else.
