Good route. Varied. However the parts on the bridleways are full of wheel ruts and overgrown. Missed these out and used the quiet roads. Black Shed good for lunch.

Spring and summer generally offer the most pleasant conditions for mountain biking in Slimbridge, with drier trails and warmer weather. Autumn can also be beautiful with changing foliage, but trails may become muddier after rain. Winter rides are possible, but expect colder temperatures and potentially very muddy sections, especially in wetland areas.
Due to the region's proximity to the River Severn and expansive wetlands, many trails in Slimbridge can become quite muddy and waterlogged after heavy or prolonged rainfall. Routes along canal paths or on higher ground may drain better, but it's always advisable to check local conditions or recent komoot tour comments before heading out in wet weather.
For scenic views, consider routes that follow the River Severn or venture into the low-lying hills.
