Looks like a footpath in places but it's easily passable on a gravel bike or MTB

A memorial to George Montague Dunk Earl of Halifax. Thereโ€™s a modern plaque to read about his life. 1771.

A great view of the hangers at Cardington (and on this day a view of a blimp!) and in the background Bedford.

When using Komoot to plan our walking routes I often use churches as key features/way points. In a world without cars when the churches were built most were accessible from several directions by public footpaths or bridleways. It then necessarily follows that if you plan a circular walk and tag churches on the route the Komoot App will link each through accessible paths. Simples..... ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Mixture of gravel & hard pack mud from the Wilstead end up to Medbury Farm, which then turns to tarmac farm road toward the Elstow end. Another great detour off of the busy A600. A distant view of the Cardington hangars as well.
