You can run or walk within the castle boundary without actually going into the inner pay-for area, and it's a lovely tree covered path.

Start at St Nicholas car park in Kenilworth (2hrs free parking) Follow greenway past the Common to near Berkswell. Original route changed with HS2 but good surfaced track replaced parts. Return total journey 11.5 mls. Dog walkers a peril so need a good bell!!

Busy road most times of the day. To avoid riding on the road you can use the path on south/west side between A46 rdbt and hill wooton turn, then Sandy lane, then path on north side before actual cycle path begins after entering Leamington
