If we travel by car we always park in the new houses estate because Winthrop car park is accessed by a single track road, and the car park isn’t very big !! If we park in Sylvester Ave it’s only 150yards from the cafe and it’s a nice tarmac path 👍

It’s a nice cafe, run by volunteer staff, service is slow but the staff are very nice, and it’s only open on Tues Weds Thursday 10-16.00.

The river Dearne foot bridge is in a dangerous condition.

The River Dearne foot bridge is in a dangerous condition! It looks like it has been subject to some kind of fire, and there are large holes in the foot boards. It seems to have been closed off by the authorities, however someone has pulled the barrier's open and people are using the bridge(cross at your own risk).
