The Alto de la Sierra del Perdón , located at an altitude of 770 m, is a natural vantage point with an exceptional panoramic view to the north towards Pamplona, the capital from Navarre, and the Pyrenees, and on the south to the land of grains and villages, medieval buildings rich in history from the Valdizarbe Valley.

Sculptural group of pilgrims from different eras made of iron by Vicente Galbete and sponsored by the Association of Friends of the Camino de Navarra, enjoying a beautiful view. The statue bears the motto 'Where the path of the wind intersects with that of the stars'. https://www.pamplona.es/en/node/47467

"The art installation "Monumento del Peregrinos" goes back to a suggestion by the pilgrim Ernesto Calvo, who is a member of the Friends of the Way of St. James in Navarre. (...) Seventeen life-size flat figures made of naturally rusted iron, twelve people and five animals, form one Pilgrimage with members from different epochs, social classes and age groups. Men, women and children are there. The figures were set up in 1996 as landmarks that can be seen from afar. These are works by Vicente Galbete Martinicorena, a sculptor from Pamplona. (... ) After the installation was completed, the artist did not wish to inaugurate the art installation: Galbete wanted to express his respect for the centuries-long continuity of the procession of pilgrims. He understood the group as part of this pilgrimage, but not as something new." Pleasant corner with tables and views of Uterga shortly before reaching the top of Alto del Perdón... the only thing a little more disturbing are the windmills of the Wind Farm just on the other side of the road. Ideal to rest from the climb.
