Beautiful gorge in the Racławka Valley. In this area are the oldest, from the Devonian era, exposures of sedimentary rocks (dolomite). A beautiful piece in the forest - peace, quiet, as it should be. :)

You pass by the Dubie dolomite opencast mine. The views of such mines and quarries are always quite dramatic. Supposedly, after the mine is finished, it is to be incorporated into the surrounding landscape of the Racławka Valley.

According to the information board here, "Łom Pisarski is the only outcrop in Krakow where a fault formed during the Hercynian orogeny is visible". A bit of text for a surveyor! - sounds serious. This was the late Paleozoic, so the place is old. Today, these are beautiful rocks, worth deviating from the main path here.

You can drive up from the bottom, but probably better from the top.
