Don't miss the Cemetery next door. It is a Romanesque building from the 12th century, although there are no documents prior to 1279. It consists of a narrow rectangular nave, covered with a pointed barrel vault and an even narrower semicircular apse. The entrance, with a gradient arch and a smooth tympanum, is located on the south façade, where there are also two double-recessed windows. The church, located apart from the town, is an outstanding example of the Romanesque architecture of the region.

Vilajoan, at the foot of the Fluvià River, is known for its tower which is located in the old middle of the town and which was a strategic point. It is currently one of these towns that helps the meander of the river to remain motionless over time.

A town with a long history behind it, where it already begins in Roman times and in this old part of the center you can find the Monastery. This one, with a tower that looks like a castle, shows us some of the busy lives of these ancient but beautiful towns in the Alt Empordà.

Beautiful waterfall that is more spectacular when the torrent brings a lot of water from the surrounding area. This stream is called the Riera de Siurana although it is also called the Riera Pellingarda, and it reaches the Font Rovellada.
