Starting point for a visit to the beautiful village of Chelva and the superb Water Route (Ruta del Agua), well signposted from the square. Despite the signs at the beginning of the circuit indicating that the route is closed, it is possible to pass through with caution. The church was built between the 17th and 18th centuries in the Mannerist and Baroque styles. Its design is inspired by the Church of the Gesù in Rome, designed by Jacopo Vignola. The building has a Latin cross plan, with side chapels and a transept inscribed in a rectangle. Its baroque bell tower and the largest dome in the region that is today the Valencian Community stand out. The interior ornamentation, the work of architect Juan Pérez Castiel, is magnificent and characteristic of its style. This church, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, is a treasure that deserves to be visited. If you ever find yourself in Chelva, do not hesitate to admire the majesty of the Archpriest Church of Our Lady of the Angels. 🌟🏰🌿

A hill that separates the deep ravines of the Tuéjar River from the Turia River. The Barraquena bridge serves as a border to differentiate the beginning of the demanding climb to the Collado Estrecho pass located on the side of the Tiñoso peak. You ascend 450 meters for 5km on a constant 10% ramp with 15% sections. The climb, although very hard, offers impressive landscapes.

The Puente de Barraquena Recreational Area, a beautiful corner of Chelva recovered next to the Turia. It is located in a beautiful setting next to the Turia River (also called the Blanco River), a place where you can enjoy a haven of peace full of pine trees, lush riverside vegetation, deadly fishing or various hiking routes and walks. The interesting thing about the area, in addition to the beautiful forest shelter, is the medieval bridge, which gives its name to the recreational area: the Barraquena Bridge. It is a bridge 60 meters long by 3.40 meters wide, which has a single eye or arch that appears to have the beginnings of some cutwaters. The construction technique used in the bridge is rough stone ashlar for the voussoirs of the semicircular arch, somewhat flattened, and the rest of the construction is made with masonry, which, as a whole, has undergone a reconstruction. in the past, in which the pavement is made with river stones.
