I've never experienced anything like this before. When I passed by on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, around 8 a.m., the Lorenzkirch Cyclist Stop offered everything except hot water for tea. I'm sure they'd be available elsewhere, as there was plenty of tea; maybe I just couldn't find it. I then had a coffee, even though I don't drink it, but I wanted something warm in the cold (16°C) and didn't have a jacket with me. There's even a website: https://der-radlerstop.de A visit is a MUST for EVERY cyclist passing through the area. Of course, it shouldn't be abused, or this luxury will be gone again. I wish the operators eternal life.

The bike path along the B-road is quite easy to ride uphill (towards the east), but too narrow downhill. The subsequent concrete path is well-paved and offers a wonderful, traffic-free ride all the way to Roda.

Despite the rather bumpy asphalt, the route is enjoyable, as the wooded area provides pleasant shade. Traffic is manageable, typical of a village road.
