Lovely first part of the Ruta del Carrilet. Leaving Olot over a rather straight path with a nice view to the mountains. High quality gravel 👌🏼

An absolute must do when you love cycling. This via verde is just stunning. Perfect smooth gravel, beautiful nature, dozens of bridges and tunnels. This upper part of the Ruta del Carrilet has it all. For me the best ride I’ve done on 2024. Used a gravelbike with 40mm tires.

This is what makes this Ruta del Carrilet so beautiful. All those stunning tunnels, full of character. You want to take a picture of each one of them. It’s just amazing how nature adapted those tunnels.

It is a beautiful hermitage very close to an old farmhouse and with a forest on one side and a field on the other. If you are in Olot and looking for a good walk, there are many in this area.

Nice track to avoid the main road.

These are the first two tunnels of the Vía Verde at the exit of Olot. There are many more between here and Girona. These tunnels really give you the feeling that this is an old train line, and it is.

This is the first stretch of the Vía Verde that leaves Olot. It's a lovely place close to the center for a walk or run. There is a bridge at the beginning and at the end a nice area to walk on both sides. Also, on this side there are some benches to sit on and on the other side there is a counter that puts tables along the way.
