At the Skywalk you "float" over the rocks and there are always lots of monkeys in the area. If you choose the right perspective when taking photos, the glass panes make it look as if you are holding on to the horizon. Unfortunately, the floor of the Skywalk is not clear glass, but ribbed, which reduces the "thrill" considerably.

At the top there are small ruins of houses that are not easy to access. But the view is amazing.

While you can book on bus or cycle group tours, I found it more flexible and enjoyable to hire a bike and ride up in my own time. An e-bike will allow those of all fitness abilities to comfortably achieve this tour. If it’s your first time, just try not to stop and gawp at the macaques at close range or they’ll come and search you for food!😆. Entry to the reserve is £17 (2023)

It is breathtakingly beautiful to look out over the strait between Spain and Morocco from the Rock of Gibraltar.

The strait known to us today as the “Strait of Gibraltar” between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean was called the “PILLARS of HERACLES (Hercules)” in the pre-Christian era of antiquity. According to the Greek philosopher Plato, the legendary people of the state of Atlantis, which he idealized but nevertheless perished as a punishment from the gods, lived beyond these columns, which at the time represented the end of the known world.
