A very nice section of the route! The asphalt is unfortunately quite rough and brittle…exactly the right terrain for my gravel bike 😎 It's definitely not fun on a road bike, but definitely doable.

At the exit of the Sampolo tunnel, you can see the eponymous reservoir on the left. Made up of a dam built between 1987 and 1991, this 24-hectare water reserve is used for electricity production in the region. Nestled in the middle of lush greenery, this place exudes tranquility.

The road to Couvent San-François d'Alesani climbs eerily. Visiting the monastery is very worthwhile, especially because of the view. The tower was restored in 1993 after it collapsed in 1943, taking the life of Father Gabriel. What a judgment from God!

Cervione is also worthwhile because of its good restaurants in the town center but in any case because of the really beautiful view.
